Poetry is where I started from. By the age of eight I began writing lyrical passages that told a story and rhymed. Using a minimum of words, I could relay complex thoughts and feelings. When the lines bounced in a precise meter, mere words took flight as art. I sat in my tiny bedroom jotting down impressions from my observations as an adolescent and continued writing about them well into my teens. The length and form of this vibrant communication varies as much as the subject matter. The sound of dissonant phrases illicit steep emotions from the casual listener. At least that’s the goal.
